The number one thing that keeps a person from meeting there goals is commitment to the routine.
It takes time to develope a habit and even harder if you dont exactly like your routine. It makes you tired or it takes too long or its just so darn hard you cant keep it up.
If you cannot focus the mind, you cannot engage the body to change its shape.

Your muscles will do all the work during exercise so long as they have energy to meet the demands you engage them for. How much fat you burn all depends on how long the muscle has to perform the exercise. Your muscles will adapt to the challenges you give them by increasing in size in order to lift more weight or increasing there endurance (the ability to utilize fat for energy instead of carbohydrates). This basic premise will determine your body's results.

Consistancy is the key. Perhaps you are unable to stay consistent due to your routine being too difficult or exhausting to sustain on a regular basis. If so then make adjustments so that it is easier for you to maintain on a more consistent basis otherwise you probably wont be able to keep it up.
For example:
Its perfectly okay to lighten up the load, lift something you can handle on your own and still maintain strict form.
Do higher repitition (20-25 reps) with less weight. It will still have a tremendous effect bringing more definition to the muscles
Focus on just two muscle groups at a time instead of trying to work every body part in one routine.
If you are easily distracted or maybe you have a tendecy to carry on conversations just a little too long. Get some headphones download some of your favorite upbeat songs and try getting into it a rhythm
Music always helps me with cardio because heavy breathing has a psychological effect on your body making you feel more tired than what we may in fact be. Remember to have fun with it, nobody wants to do something thats boring. Its all about commitment, if you stay commited you can have no doubt that at some point you will reach your goals.
